Cuddling up with a good book
I’ve begun reading the most inspiring and intriguing books I’ve read in a long time. It is “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. She uses her words so beautifully to paint such a vivid picture. I just can’t put it down!

Things I learned from Martha Stewart…
1. Use your old buttons that came with that sweater to hold your earrings. Put the stud or the hook through the button holes. That way you never loose the other half of your pair.
2. How do you keep candle wax from sticking to the holder? Non-stick cooking spray. Just spray the inside of the candle holder before putting the candle in. After it’s burned, it will slip right out! How cool is that?
3. Use pant holders to hold your gift bags and wrapping paper leftovers. You can also use one of those multiple pant racks for ribbon and tissue paper! So how about you? Got any cool tips?
Movie’s to see…
This movie was funny, happy, sad, romantic, all in one. I loved it!
Christmas treats
Today I made the cutest and easiest Christmas treat! It’s great to give your co-workers because you can make a lot at one time. Here’s what you need:TwizzlersDipping white chocolate (the kind you usually use on strawberries and the kind that hardens) Sprinkle (for Christmas I got green & red)Wax paperThis literally took me 10 minutes to do a family size bag of Twizzlers. So, the kind of dipping chocolate that I got comes in a cup that you can microwave. I would recommend this. It was near the baking stuff at the grocery store. Dip each Twizzler about 1/3 of the way into the chocolate and place on the wax paper. Make sure they don’t touch. Oh but before you do this, sprinkle some sprinkles
down on the wax paper first so that you have decor on the bottom
So, dip them, then put them down on the paper, then sprinkle the other side. Then all you have to do is let them harden. How easy is that? I’m going to put them in those little cellophane baggies and tie them off with ribbon. What a cheap and easy gift! Here’s where the idea originated from: Betty CrockerMerry Christmas!
Things I just looooooooooove about where I live…
(… enter sarcasm here…)#1. The trash bins and the structure they reside in are the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen and yes, they are always overflowing. #2. I have an opera woman living behind me and I can guarantee every night (usually before I’m getting ready to go to bed around 11:30) that she will be singing or shrieking rather, at the top of her lungs. I’m surprised that windows and mirrors haven’t begun to crack. #3. Every time I go to do laundry the quarter machine will inevitably not be taking any more bills. Well it must be out of quarters, you say. Oh no! They are in there, they just won’t come out. (… to be continued…)
