Great American Music Hall

I had the pleasure of going to a fantastic show this week at the lovely Great American Music Hall here in San Francisco. It was a lovely place!

My friend Cindy and I ventured out to see Jon McLaughlin and much to my surprise his opening act had an all too familiar name… Jason Reeves… familiar on many levels (some that cannot be shared just yet – check back for an update though).

Here are the boys… videos uploading soon… again, I apologize for the less than stellar quality 🙂

This is too good not to post… sorry for the verticalness 🙂

begas vaby!

oh wait… strike that… reverse it…

vegas, here i come! AGAIN! wahoo! i am SO excited! what’s better than vegas? oh yeah, vegas TWICE in a year! and on top of that, the reason i’m going to vegas makes it so much more exciting! i know there are most likely a couple questions pondering around in your mind right now, I just know it… why? when? with whom? and why again?

first of all, i’ll get the “with whom?” out of the way. i’m going it alone. yes….. i’m crazy! vegas…..? alone….?! who would be that dumb? oh yes, that’s ME! right here! i’m just that loco. (unless anyone wants to join me, feel free. i’m up for tag-alongs!)

and that leads me to the why…

i have been dying to see this lady for quite some time now. she is one of the most inspiring spiritual teachers in the world today. last time i saw her was in houston for a conference that i volunteered for. she’s not going to be coming to the bay area any time soon so, i thought, why not combine one of my favorite places with the most amazing speaker of our time?! so, that’s exactly what i’m doing. a little bit of beth and a little bit of vegas! she will be leading, along with these ladies, a two day women’s conference at UNLV.

so be praying for me september 5 & 6 that the LORD will teach me, bless me, move me, mold me, refine me and shape me those two days. also pray for safety 🙂 (mom, i’ll be fine!)

not only are beth moore and kay arthur teaching but my old choir director from back home (a.k.a. NashVEGAS) is leading worship. i think it’s been about… oh… 4 years or more since i’ve been in the same room as this guy, let alone experiencing him lead worship. i’m super duper pumped! i’m ready for GOD to move!

here’s a little glimpse of what lies ahead…

Love vs. Hate

today is a sad day… i experienced something quite tragic in the simple life of rebecca. something that is so dear to me (enough to say that i love it with a capital OBSESSION) has joined hands with something that i passionately hate… i mean HAAAAATE!!!

okay, okay, so i know hate is a harsh word to say about anything, but honestly… i can say that i hate this particular thing so very much that i try to avoid it at all costs!

alright, enough already… i’ll stop with the guessing game… are you ready? i’m so sorry to all you health-conscience people out there… but i HATE, loath, despise, and refuse to eat… BANANAS… yuckie yuckie yuck! they not only taste gross but they make everything around them take on their taste and smell. if you eat one, the rest of the day you have it on your breath, you burp it and no matter what you eat, it has a slight banana taste to it…  and to me, that’s just plain gross. frankly, it gives me the heebie jeebies!

so what is this thing that i love so much? ah yes… the magical sign of life… it breathes energy and open-eyedness into me just about every day… you got it – the bucks of stars! better known as

today, i ventured to my local spot… and i walked in through a door plastered with clings talking about a new banana smoothie. yipee! NO. no yipee… but yuckie! i entered extremely hesitant to find what was on the other side. and much to my utter disgust, it wreaked of the unbeloved yellow contaminator. it seeped into my pours upon immediate contact and i actually believe that i could taste the air. it was all i could do to order my coffee.

so please please please mr. bucks, i plead to you with every fiber of my ever loving heart… cut out the ‘nanners! you just might have lost an extremely loyal customer…

i just can’t help but wonder… is GOD in this detail too? maybe this is HIS attempt to get me to stop with my consumption of the ever-so-wonderful dehydrating beverage that i love so… you know, HE does give and take away… oh LORD but PUHLEEEEAAAASSSEEEE not this!

where am i?

i would like to take this time to apologize for my utter neglect to blog… life is crazy busy! but i’m here, i’m alive, doing well (just in case you wondered).

and since that’s about all the time i have… i’ll have to write more later…

until then…

Ginger, this one’s for you, girl!

Sorry for the less than stellar quality…
